Itâ€™s 8am and I just finished sampling the Stagecoach Vineyard. Before that I was at Blue Oak, where I got a 22.8 (brix). There are some nice flavors coming on, but it obviously needs some more time.
Stagecoach is starting to get in the 25 (brix) plus range, but still some herbaceous flavors there as well. We have a little irrigation going on at both places. We are in for a really warm day today. The winds are starting to pick up here at Stagecoach. Definitely a warm dry breeze from the North, so things are warming up, and the humidity is going down. A little drink of water is a good thing for the vineyards that are a little more than a week away with flavors, and in the case of Blue Oak with the sugars.
